It has been a bit since I posted. Oh well I it's my LJ!!! I will post when ever I want.....hehe ok enough of the theatrics.

Well had another migraine today, it was another bad one. I had a 2 day one last week as well..... I though I was getting better too. It all just begins to wear on me. I know there has been a ton of changes and lots of stress right now....I just sometimes wish I was normal and I did not have to be in pain as much as I am.

A Monster

Ok some of you may know or may not know, I have started to brew Mead. I started about a month and a half ago, but my original batch the yeast was bad. So I just added new yeast about a week ago, and after a little tasting and seeing it bubbling away I am now hooked. I plan on starting a 2nd batch as soon as the first one is out of the first stage of fermentation, what I call French Toast Mead, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. I now look at everything and wonder how that will taste in mead. Which bring me to this morning, I am having a cup of blueberry black tea, hmm I think this will be a good mild/subtle blueberry mead!! Will have to try it!

I think I am turning into a brewing monster……I wonder if my landladies would think if I started a small brewery in the basement.

Went to the DR. appointment today. Over all it went pretty good. Knowing there is help and that I am taken seriously by Dr.'s helps out a lot. The main Dr is also a lifetime migraine sufferer/survivor, which also helps a great deal...knowing he knows how they feel.

But a quick and dirty breakdown of what is now going on:
1. Daily meds to help reduce the number, adding injection immetrex to help the morning migraines, and a backup steroid if all else fails.
2. seeing a physical therapist, to get the tension reduced in my neck and shoulders. Seeing an occupational therapist to help with relaxation, work habits, and other alterative/eastern medical. Seeing a physiologist to help with dealing with the psychological part of the pain and management.
3. Lifestyle changes, eat breakfast, sleep more and exercise.

I also have to change my mindset; I will have migraines the rest of my life. Now to manage them, and decrease the frequency to a level where it no longer affects my life.

Tomorrow I will see if I can talk to my manager, let him know what is going on, work out a schedule so I can get to my other appointments, and tell him that once this new treatment, gets in full swing I should not have to miss work because of a migraine.

So today is the new beginning.

Yea,

I suppose I should join the bandwagon....

Anyway, Tomorrow I have my Dr. appointment, yay me. Waiting for them to tell me my migraines are all in my head.....ok bad joke. But if you cannot laugh then where does it leave you. I am seeing a team of 4 Dr's at a special headache clinic, hopefully they will help get my head under control.

Other news, I am ashamed that the evil Apple empire has brought me over to the dark side (even if it is only a little). Yea, I swore I would not get any apple products.....DAM YOU IPOD!!!!!
